NOISIA, who took their name from the word VISION inverted on an upside down VHS tape, are Nik Roos, Thijs de Vlieger and Martijn van Sonderen, hailing from the Netherlands.
Influenced by an eclectic range of artists, from
The Prodigy to James Brown and from Miles Davis to Konflict, Noisia makes music for DJs and dance-floors that's interesting enough to cross over from the clubs to your MP3 player.
The rise of Vision Recordings
In 2005 Noisia establish their own label Vision Recordings to release their drum&bass productions and collaborations, and to retain creative control of their music. Nik designs almost all of the artwork for the releases on their labels and the guys love the challenges and rewards that come with running a label. Vision Recordings' biggest releases to date have been The Tide, Exodus Feat. KRS One and Stigma. In 2007 they established Division, a non-D&B label for electro, breaks and house.
Meanwhile the group continues to pay homage to their roots by signing and raising some of the most exciting bass music artists to their Vision, Division and Invisible labels, travelling all over the globe and destroying some of the biggest festivals and arenas in the world. From Coachella to their own Noisia Invites events at Amsterdam’s infamous Melkweg and their own hometown of Groningen. No matter what, Noisia’s vision is clear. These incredible producers will always stick to their guns, pushing an uncompromisingly original, emotional and visceral sound.
